The Bangor Garden Show seeks 40+ interested volunteers of all ages to help in the following areas:

BUS GREETER: Meets buses outside; has the occupants leave the bus before the bus is parked; instructs the teacher/group leader to go to the Volunteer Desk to sign in (and pay if non-school group); tells driver where to park.

BUS GREETERS SCHEDULE : FRIDAY, 9 AM TO 1 PM ; 2 people per hour, 2 hour shift per person.

FLOATER: Multi-talented and willing to volunteer in numerous capacities: Visit Kids Grow Too, landscapers in the auditorium, and the Food Court areas to tidy up, keep areas neat, and trash picked up; relieves landscapers for short breaks; provides directions and assistance to patrons; changes table cloths in the Food Court as needed; and relieves Volunteer Desk when time allows.

FLOATERS SCHEDULE: FRIDAY and SATURDAY 9AM TO 8PM, and SUNDAY 10AM TO 5 PM; 3-4 people per hour, 3-4 hour shift per person. Critical times for coverage are 11AM to 3PM and 5PM to 7PM (closes at 5PM Sunday).

FRONT DOOR: Greets patrons after they pay, hands out programs, take tickets, hand out People's Choice ballots; relieves Volunteer Desk when time allows.

FRONT DOOR SCHEDULE : FRIDAY and SATURDAY 9AM TO 8PM, and SUNDAY 10AM TO 5 PM; 2-3 people per hour, 3-4 hour shift per person. Critical times for coverage are 9AM to 3PM.

VENDOR AREA: Keeps aisles cleared of debris; maintains fire code distances; relieves vendors for short breaks; directs patrons as needed; and helps in the Food Court when time allows.

VENDOR AREA SCHEDULE : FRIDAY and SATURDAY 9AM TO 8PM, and SUNDAY 10AM TO 5 PM; 1-2 people per hour, 3-4 hour shift per person. Critical times for coverage are 12PM to 6PM Friday and Saturday.

RAFFLE TIX: Walks about the show and sells raffle tickets for Lyn Snow framed original on display at the KKB Booth on the auditorium floor; must be willing to be responsible for handling cash and checks.

RAFFLE TIX SCHEDULE: FRIDAY and SATURDAY 9AM TO 8PM, and SUNDAY 10AM TO 2 PM – Drawing at 2 PM; 3-4 people per hour, 3-4 hour shift per person. Critical times for coverage are 11AM to 6PM Friday and Saturday.

VOLUNTEER DESK: Command central for all show volunteers!!!! Staffing the Volunteer Desk involves signing in the incoming volunteers, giving them their volunteer badges, answering any questions they may have, and directing them/taking them to their volunteer assignments. Volunteer Desk Staff also assist the general public with questions and check in group ticket holders. There is a Keep Bangor Beautiful staff member or Board member at the Volunteer Desk to assist you.
